In case anyone missed it on slatedroid

I got vegacomb booting.

quite a long way to go yet, but its a start..

you can see its HW accelerated, the touch is acting like a mouse at present, I did find a way to make that more responsive, but HEY! it boots :D

That is Awesome work Fards! Wish I knew enough to assist ;-) If you get this working well make sure you put a Donate link in I'm sure all us Hannspad users would dip in for full hardware acceleration on 3.2!

quick update

touchscreen works like a touchscreen!

(although I'm so used to using it like a mouse I keep swiping it :D)

can't get adb working, the gtab guys do have that.

I must give them huge credit, we're working on this seperately but together, they have a really great team and are doing fantastic work on the kernel.

And of course Rayman / kushiels for the drivers etc for the adam !

quick update adb/usb works (as long as you plug in the cable during the blue honeybee screen on boot.

innersd card works (and mounts as USBstorage)

Extsdcard works (doesn't mount as USB storage automatically)

buttons not working yet, WiFi powers on and off but it's throwing an error. frustrating that one.

the gtab guys say they have the adam source code working on audio now, so I'll test that later on today.

got it a lot more stable. managed to nandroid backup and restore, which is a huge step as it was causing issues.

to do power.battery levels, accelerometer, buttons, wifi, proper shutdown

in the tegra2 hannspad forum..

Its been in the laboratory for a couple of weeks under 36 kernel thread.

Anyway I'm at the stage where I think an Alpha level release is justified..

its about 85% working..

file system is a bit odd on boot, if tap power then back on and unlock again its fine.

power/battery/resume and shutdown seem a very very broken.

capacitive buttons don't work

bluetooth doesn't work

sound is very quiet.

usb only works if you plug the cable in towards the end of the boot sequence.

sensors don't work that well

it could cause lots of damage that I don't know about yet.

other than that its lovely!

Maximum respect to devs like you who put companies like Hannspree's software development dept and business model to shame when it comes to updating the software/OS on products released into the wild. I still can't believe Hannspree have no intention of releasing H-comb on the Hpad, which we all can see,can clearly run it.

Imagine buying a Hpad for FULL price only for Hannspree to turn around and say they're not going to update it to the latest OS! I'd freak!

Anyway, thank you for spending time on this project. It'll mean so much to so many.

Any chance of an update? Preferably with another video? You're making great progress and I'm very tempted by the Hanspree but only if Vegacomb is fully ported.

its getting there.

this is another video I put up on youtube the other day.

still having lots of issues and finding more all the time..

I need to get past low memory issues.

Sensors is really bugging me now, as is the poweroff.

I'm deliberately keeping posts of files to the thread on slatedroid to simplyfy things for me, to keep track.

Hi fards,

I really appreciate your work! Running honeycomb on the Hannspad makes a world of difference.

If you can make 3.2 run smooth with little to no problems, that would make this device fantastic!

Can't help because I don't have any programming skills.

good luck!
