If so, how long does that typically take, once the source is released? I've just got myself an LMT and started browsing here, it seems that one of the most active chefs is vache, who seems to have gone a bit quiet of late. Is there enough (motivated) expertese currently around to do it? Sorry if that's a stupid question. BTW I know someone in the UK who's buying one from Expansys, if someone tells me what they have to do, I'll ask if they'll make a copy of the ROM - I assume that's as good as the leaked ones people have been somehow getting? Shouldn't take too long for that to be done. But the kernel source will likely only be released after they ship a Metal with Gingerbread or release the update (officially) AFAIK. If they confirm that the Metal from Expansys is running Gingerbread then it would be worth them doing a ROM dump, however it looks like it'll be a few weeks till they start shipping them with Gingerbread. And I just had all the hassle of upgrading to 2.3..4 too. If anyone buys one, can they post the build number? Mine is Acer_LiquidMT_3.027.01_EMEA_GEN1. Anyone know how to get the sip calling enabled back in the dialer (its available on other 2.3.4 phones) and turn off the naff Acer interface (this used to be in the Display menu). Guest Hanks6 Posted September 26, 2011 Report Share Posted September 26, 2011 (edited) Just let you alk know, the brown luquid acer is now showing in stock si hopefully we will get official release soon or a ripped version of the stock 2.3 i was just going to post this too. i have an order down for one and noticed it's now showing in stock! i'll check the actual order status out tommorow http://www.expansys....l-brown-209791/ it only actually says 1-5 in stock, so it'll be gone almost instantly. but the fact there is any at all for purchase might mean there was sufficient to cover all the existing orders. anyone else have one on order already too? perhaps it's too early for the 2.3 out of the box to be shipping and some brown ones have popped up which will have 2.2 still. batch for the silver is still a few weeks off so more likely to be 2.3 straight off the bat. we'll see i guess.
