[HELP NEEDED] MIUI for Liquid Metal

Hey,

I tried porting the latest Desire Z MIUI to the Metal, but its bootlooping for some reason.

While I am not a professional in reading logcat's i do own a Desire Z (rooted etc on cm7) and my wife owns the acer liquid metal. that being said i can tell you we share the same cpu chip, but there are alot of other differing hardware, what was your method of porting? did you use the liquid MT GB system as a base and port in the DZ rom?

also the DZ MIUI roms are very VERY customized to the device. I think one would have more of a chance porting the DZ CM7 stable to the MT. that being said with the kernel source released for MT building CM7 from source should be doable, just remember you need all of the driver modules from the stock rom.

I am by no means an expert, i cooked plenty of roms back in the winmo days, and a few android ports for a low end LG handset, but not enough experience IMO.

If i do have time i will do more reading and see if i can figure out how to build a CM7 rom.

I originally added the Stock Acer Lib on top of the Desire Z build, that got into the kernel splash. Using the Huawei X5 port got it further into the bootsplash, but it keep complaining about the libhtcacoustic(desire z microphone). Sticking the framework and MIUI apk into Ginger DMD got it this far.
