What IS it with ZTE phones and screen dust? How annoying!

I don't get why ZTE, for once, cannot design a phone properly, where dust doesn't manage to get between the digitiser and the LCD. It's not as if the Skate is even a "cheap" phone, at £220 for the vanilla model. My Blade used to do this, and now I have specks of dust at the top left of the LCD, inside.

So irritating! Why can't these people put some effort into making something that keeps a dust-tight seal? Cheapo £7.85 Nokia phones seem to manage it, and I don't even abuse this thing or get it dusty!

This phone is only 3 weeks old... weeks!

I'm annoyed because they're just LAZY. It's such a simple thing for them to fix - GET THE SEALS FLUSH AND TIGHT.

End of rant.

[EDIT]

On hold to India. A very pleasant girl said "Could you please reset the phone, by going into the menu"... to which I replied "how is that going to affect dust under the screen"? :P LMAO!

So far, sounds like they're sending a new one :)

~~~ UPDATE ~~~
Just spoke to a call centre (India, I think) and the girl arranged to ship me a brand new OMC out tomorrow, and even let me choose a delivery slot; most impressed. I then asked her how I'd go about getting the unlock code for my replacement OMC when it arrives, and her reply baffled me slightly: "Oh, don't worry Sir: they unlock the replacement handsets before they are shipped out to you, so it will be unlocked when it arrives"... :lol:
Righttttt... (but she was extremely quick and polite with the replacement, I don't do telephone anger; she's just doing a badly paid job)
Next step, I called back (I think I got the Phillipines this time, and a sweet sounding girl) and I explained that the previous adviser had informed me that the replacement OMC would arrive pre-unlocked, to which she said "No Sir, I've never heard of that being the case; ALL handsets are locked" (which I had gathered already). After slowly and politely stating my case, that I'd been told by the previous adviser, to the contrary, she said she'd put notes on my account, and that when I get the replacement OMC, they'll try and apply for the unlock code, and I'll get it as a complimentary gesture... we'll see, hey!
:P
They're VERY efficient! I can't see where all the other complaints come from; you just have to be patient, calm and polite. Simple.
I'm quite shocked that they're sending you out a new phone. I can't imagine why they wouldn't ask you to send it off for repair.
when we got a replacement blade I got talking to the collection guy and him and his team pick up 400 faulty phones a day for replacement.
I have no reason not to trust them. Have called back again, twice, since they said they'd send it, and two separate operators have confirmed the replacement is out to be shipped, tomorrow.
That's good service. What have they asked you to do with the "dusty" handset? Does it have to be sent back when the new one is delivered?
You just have to give it to the delivery guy - I had to do the same when they blocked my IMEI.
On a happier note though my unlokc code is only a few days away :)
Just swap it for the new one. The courier swaps it over.
Hi, Can you give me the number where you called as I have a problem with my phone. When I go into maps and into street view and then compass mode. When it is in compass mode the screen begins to shake badly and it is unusable in this mode. So I think the sensor is broken. Also when I do *983*0# and in the sensors proximity sensor fails.
