Hi all

I am having this weird problem with the screen timeout setting on my Acer with Official Rom ( I froze a few 3d Party Apps )

I set screen timout on 1 minute but after i connect it on USB it goes to 30 Minutes and stays there even after i have removed it. It drains my battery unless i manually set it back

Anyone had the same problem ? Any solutions ?

have a look in applications > development and see if "stay awake while charging" is selected, it might be causing it and then after you unplug it might not change back.

Hey there, i have this problem too. Vanilla 2.3.5.

I find it usually happens at night (not charging) (go to sleep with full battery, wake up with 20% left). Looking at the Battery Usage, the Display takes up 70% of it and says it has been active for 7hours+.

Maybe its a flashing problem? I'm going to try and re-flash 2.3.5 a few times and see if it solves the problem.

However if it keeps it up im going to have to go back to Froyo :(

Edit:

I have also noticed that when i lock the screen, the "locking" sound either occurs a few seconds (even minutes) after the lock, or possibly not at all! I would like to ask if anyone else is experiencing this too.

Thankyou Thankyou

Fixed the problem for myself atleast. For anyone who cares this is what i did (in order):

Turned off screen animations in the Display settings menu (no affect, but might be helping)

Re-flashed Acers Android 2.3.5

Installed Amon-Ra 2.2

Seems to be working fine now, screen turns off and my battery lasts aaaaaages :D
