Hi,

I have a very strange problem. I have an LG Optimus 2X ( not a big surprise in this topic ). I was satisfied absolutely with it except of one thing the sound of the phone call was extremely noisy. I had read lot of topics there is a known problem with the new basebands. I began to step backwards on the basebands by flashing with smartflash and I found the 0502 version which was absolutely good only one problem remained I can't connect my phone to the my PC. I thought it's not a big problem I was trying to flash the previous version but I couldn't connect my phone ti the PC. My PC doesn't recognise my phone. I was trying with the nvflash but the connection didin't work neither.

Is it maybe a hardware problem?
Can I destroy the low level usb connection functionality with baseband flash? I would be very weird.

Can somebody help me in any way?

Easy test; try it in Ubuntu

I have the same problem. But my usb stoped working with no reason what so ever. Last time i changed baseband was a few weeks before the problem occured.

There are a few other cases like ours, and at least for one guy the usb started to work again. The same way it stoped. With no reason.

There is also another thread i started, where i explain all my problem, but with no reply. Eventually i will send it to warranty..

Do you mean fire up a live cd with ubuntu and see if the pc connects to the phone?

Because neither the pc "sees" the phone or the phone "sees" the pc.  The only thing it does is charge.

EDIT:

Tried a knopix live cd (don't have ubuntu) with no luck.

Also tried the hiden menu thingy with no luck. although, i could not successfuly change from AP USB to CP USB. even if i change it and hit OK, if i go there again it still is on AP USB.

Thanks the information but I have as same problem as yours. I have tried everything except of the trying with the linux live cd but I think it can't help me nether. I was trying to remove battery for long time but the problem remains. So everything works well now, the wifi, wifi tether, good quality of phone call, gsm data connection etc. The real big problem is I can't update the baseband in the future. I thinking on the service to swap the eprom or some part in my phone to solve the problem. But it could be happen accidentally anytime in the future again If I want to update of the baseband. I don't know what should I do.

I was trying to connect my phone under linux but It was unreachable as well.
