Hi guys, Firstly I would like to apologize about the other ROM I put out recently. It was poor and had many bugs and wasn't appropriate for release.


This is CAE as it is supposed to be intended.

I have merged part of the stock ROM with elements of the new SDK Platform which overall has made the ROM atheistically pleasing, along with some speed.

Since It is based off stock everything works etc etc.


Instructions

• Download and extract the Flash Tools and CAE
• Load up the Flash tools
• Tick all
• Click the ... button and choose the right files accordingly
• Turn off the Andypad and unplug the USB
• Hold down the Volume + whilst plugging in the USB to your computer
• At this point you may need to install the drivers in the Flash Tools archive
• If all is OK the Flash Tool should say "Found RKAndroid Loader Rock Usb"
• Click ERASE IDB
• Click RUN
• Once flashed it will return you the "Charging..." screen
• Power on and boot (It could take some time for first boot)
• Enjoy CAE and leave a message.

Ill add screens in a few days, Give me feedback and it will be considered for the next instalment.

How do I backup my current rom in case I want to switch back later?

this works but i cant download anything now from the market it says insufficient storage help please

Also boot up time is very bad around 5 mins

Well just installed this today after recieving my Andypad Pro and being rather annoyed to find no market place and a system that was incredibly slow

Yes I have a few FC (which are annoying) but all in all it is a lot faster than the packaged firmware that came with the device, Sami Beck - many thanks for your efforts

On a separate note the boot up time is not 5 mins and seems about average for these devices.

You say check all but there is no backup file?

I left the backup one unselected, seemed to work fine for me.

Any joy with screen shots.  I'd like to see a preview before I flash my Pad.

 Log2011-12-27.txt   3.67K   2 downloads  Hi, I run this, get Found RKAndroid etc. but Erase IDB shows 'ERROR: Lower format failed' / ' ERROR: Erasing IDB failed', any ideas please
