As this is so popular with the Blade and most over devices,I thought it would be cool if we had it here with the OMC/SKATE.

4.3 inch of screen,why not. :D

@ wrtease, is that the icecream sandwich launcher from xda by syndicate apps ?
If so,are you finding it stable ?
When I tried it a while ago,it was a bit to bugy for daily use

There is nothing special or elaborate on my homescreen...

Posted Image

...but as it is a big phone, well you get a big image :D

Edit my post with some information...

Clock widget is the std Beautiful Widget app with the flipclock blue skin applied.

Extended Controls provide the "power control" type of bar with icons on it, such as "wi-Fi" and "auto rotate" etc...

On the right half way up you can just see a small arrow - that is the "button saviour" application which does as the name suggests :)

The Launcher is simply Launcher Pro. I keep coming back to this one as it is both fast and smooth and meets my needs.

How well does button savior work?
I tried it few month back, but could not really get on with it,seemed a little buggy.

I filled in a few blanks to my original post :)

Button Saviour works really really well and I used it with my blade and continue to do so now with the skate. It seems to do what it is meant to and can be configured and customised. It is responsive and as accurate and quick as using the hard buttons. More importantly it does save wear on those often pressed hardware buttons. I like it and use it a lot, my wife absolutely hates it and so will not use it at all on her phone.
I suppose as I have got used to it I no longer have a problem with using those soft buttons over the phones own.I think the thoughts of needing to use it stem back to me having the white blade and it would often creek and groan as the buttons were pressed. My wife had a black blade and that always felt more robust and better made.
I do wish that they had made the Skate with the same rubberised type of feel as the black blade. But using a S-Curve cover does help.

I know what you mean.Zte are notorious for creeky buttons and rear housing
Agreed, the s-curve case is good, helps you to forget that nasty plastic fingerprint magnet, and makes the skate look expensive
