Doubletwist is the best I've tried so far, and I've nearly tried them all, and has video as you wanted. I think I will try Winamp again though. But I would be happy with the stock player (which I have found the most graphically attractive of the free players) if only it had a widget with album art.

Using one called 3 at the minute used to be called cube i think seems to do the trick although I ain't no music guru, plays tunes and gets album art work if missing.

Playerpro is definetly the best music player around. Simple ui, easy to set up, not graphicly intense, great music quality and I never had any problems with it. I used poweramp before but it always gave me a lot of problems. Its just start and press play... here you go :-D

I certainly don't agree! Try putting 10gb of music on the phone and making a playlist with 200+ tracks in a playlist the player starts lagging and shuts down...

And powerAMP works fine for me, so its strange you have the problems with Poweramp im expirancing with Playerpro.

mortplayer currently free on market ,but at rc stage, so grab free why you can. folder based so no need for playlists :)

The best sounding one is :

deadbeef player (Free version has ad's which sucks but it sounds the best).

other than that there is only Rockbox that has potential (Sounds good but stuff other than basic playing is sort of buggy).

(The rest are just gui's for ffmpeg and generately not even that intuitive).

Ones to avoid :

Poweramp (sounds terrible not intuitive interface).

Honourable Mention :

Andless (Free plays flacs no ads).

Another vote for PowerAMP. Forme it's simply perfect and my favourite and most used Android app. The people who wrote that app have clearly used a lot of MP3 players and really understood what makes a great MP3 player.

I liked the music widget that I had on my old San Francisco. It came from one of the Modaco custom ROMs and showed a spinning vinyl record at the top of the widget. I've since changed the ROM and can't find what it was. Does anyone know?
