hi troops , righty...skate is working really well with the x-sim in place, its connecting via 4g and doing everything it should....1 problem the little circular power meter at the top of the home screen is like a minute counter.... its litterally counting down minutes from 100.

can anyone adviser on potential power settings. i have everything off wifi,bluetooth gps etc apart from data and data roaming... i have just turned off always on mobile data to see if that helps.

have been playing with it a bit but seems to be running the battery down quick....probably on its 2nd charge...should i reset the battery counters after its charged overnight and see how it goes from there?

Check your running processes to look for any apps that may be constantly running and draining battery in the background, as it obviously shouldn't be draining that fast. I was getting very good battery life on my OSF with the GSF rom, when all of a sudden my battery started draining FAST. I checked what was running, and it was the Guardian Newspaper app that I'd just downloaded, constantly running and probably syncing all the time. So that app had to go.

Once you're happy that you've sorted out any rouge apps, the easiest way to recalibrate your battery is to download 'Battery Calibration' from the market. Drain your battery completely until the phone shuts itself off. Power on and open the calibration app. Charge your phone completely and then hit the recalibrate button. Done - it wipes your stats for you. After calibration, it may take one or two battery cycles for the battery to "normalise" itself.

Have you tried some different clock speeds?
I have found that for me, the recommended governor of 'smartass' gets locked at 787MHz and does not go any lower. That drains my battery in no time. It seems to work for others but for me, I need to use 'ondemand'

It is something run 'in background'.
With lowered minimum clock frequency to 122MHz, battery meter is going down 1% or 2% over the night.
