Hi folks.

I am offering to manually hex-edit your WiFi MAC address back into the *.QCN backup file which you saved from your phone with QPST. This service is for those of you who don't feel comfortable with hex editing, or are totally lost.

PLEASE NOTE: I am simply offering to restore your original MAC address into the *.QCN backup, so that you can flash it back to your OMC and not have to worry about "nv_4319.txt" & "nv_4329.txt" files.

If you do not know, or have lost, your original WiFi MAC address, don't worry; I'll generate a random one for you. Please attach your *.QCN backup to your reply, and type your MAC address as follows:

Desired MAC address please: "DE AD BE EF AB BA" <--- SIX hex pairs, in this format

*OR*

Random MAC address please!

I will reply to you individually, attaching the fixed *.QCN, ready for flashing.

PS: If on Ubuntu, other Linux/*nix or Mac OS X, you can generate a random MAC address, using terminal, with this command:

openssl rand -hex 6 | sed 's/\(..\)/\1:/g; s/.$//'

I think someone mentioned if you have not written down your mac code you can get it by connecting your phone to another phone or wifi network.

Yeah i have done mine, i was meaning for anybody who is looking for glossy to do theirs but did not write down their code.
