hi
,  i am linux user (gentoo) i know linux expirience compile kernel etc.
i am new with android

first i order zte blade from china

my question , if zte is real 512m and it lock , i can indentify it manually via lock at folder /dev/mtd or cat /proc/something?

i want to check it manually

zte with lock 512 show 256 have  something that i can check ? without open the device ?

i can see range of address or something ?

if tpt fail i can connect the phone via serial console ? or Terminal and do recovery by myself   dd if=img.bin of=/dev/mtd ?

i mean dd of dump file back to restore original partition

   Thank

You don't have to worry about serial console (All though you can have it if you wish).

The difference is in appsboot (Whereas the TPT system is performed by oemsbl) so even if you did choose to try it you could still recover with another TPT.
