7" Tablet - Is this worth it?

overpriced for what it is, might be ok.

(I don't on principle buy from people misusing peoples brands like that

Probably got a warezed market as well and if it fails have to send half way around the world (if you get a warranty at all (At least they don't say 3G (When that means use a dongle).

If you make getting kernel source a condition of sale then you would be in a better position.

If it works you are ok but far safer to go with a more reputable company.

(The archos G9 is not that much more ~ £200and a proper honeycomb tablet - Or you can get a blackberry Playbook with £100 cashback today (Total cost £150).

No GPS either. (Most of the half decent tablet designs provide a standalone GPS for wifi only devices).

yeah, kinda backed up my thoughts on it.

Are there any decent 7" to 10" tablets out there for less than £200.

The Archos G9 seems to get awful reviews

Archos G9 eems to have a fair few reviews from people who haven't used it.

Bad reviews I have seen mentioned faulty screen but you would just send it back if that was the case.

Paul seemed to think it was OK.

There is the £150 Hanspad (As long as you get the latest model with the decent screen).

Other option is importing a Playbook from the US. (Runs android apps now afaik).

I think Q1 2012 will be a better time to buy (More discounting due to people realising making tons of tablets and trying to sell at ipad prices is braindead - UK kindle Fire release).

Think to make a high end one costs about £200 in parts. (Bill of materials for HP Touchpad is listed at $318).

Dunno what else I am sort of looking for one myself. (But I want a dedicated GPS and think its fairly likely I can get something heavily discounted before too long).

I have been checking into Dell Android Streak 7 tablet and thought it looked good with all the add ons...like the GPS and ereader. But I have a habit of buying junk that does not last long. The one I checked out will cost me almost $900.00 (after I put on all the add ons). I r ead a lot and take a lot of photos and love games and movies. Is this like a laptop and can I log on to my internet with it?

Would this be a good buy?

I don't think that is a good deal

For a tablet you are better off with one running honeycomb or ICS.

Which one depends on where you are in the world but $900 is a bad deal universally I think.
