Sorry to say, but these are all fake batteries. This capacity is technically impossible in this size. Especially not for a small unknown brand.

Hi Macheath, no need to be sorry for speaking the truth. I find it insightful that NONE of the original handset manufacturers offer a super battery such as this. It only ever comes from no name brands. If the original manufacturer's could offer such a super battery they would. The new Galaxy NEXUS doesn't have one of these super batteries. and that handset is the newest of the new.

These super batteries have been mentioned many times in lots of forums. Not a single user has found after 3 months of use, that the battery has more capacity. Do a Google search to find out for yourself. It is a con, simple.

Have fun. Anil

Hi Anil:-)

It might be a fraud, but its under 10 usd, so its not a big loss for a spare battery.

Hi SuperSkill, for $10 I can buy two 1800mAh batteries and a charging cradle.

eBay Link

I would love this battery to be true, but unfortunately it isn't.

Have fun. Anil

The real capacity of these batteries is ~1400 to ~1450mha. I have a tool to count batteries and tahts the sad truth. Another 1650mha I had bought was 1250~ So be aware that they are fakes.

after a quick research, the battery is a fake one. Now I have to wait for it to arrive to rapport it as a fake product.

thanks everyone.

I will still test it to tell you what it gives :)

What did you expect?

If it's the same size, it has the same or a smaller capacity. Thats chemistry.

Unless they use superior chemistry inside the cells - which we certainly would hear a lot of, because the first company to mass produce a battery cell of higher energy capacity per volume will be amazingly rich.

That is what everyone - tech gadget manufacturers/users as well as car manufacturers and drivers - are waiting for.

This is going to be huge in all media some time before first products are going to be available. You certainly won't notice it in an obscure ebay shop.

Hi o2mike, you're right it is chemistry. But the application of chemistry and the accuracy of the manufacturing process is what defines the capacity of a battery, not simply the technology involved. So it is possible to have more capacity within the same dimension's without the need for a "newer" technology. It is no coincidence this seller states that the battery is made in Japan. They know in our minds, that this equates to accurate chemistry and higher tolerance manufacturing, which is normally the case.

For those that have purchased this battery, no sweat, as SuperSkill pointed out, you still get a battery for $10.

Have fun. Anil

Of course there is a slight window in which the final product may vary.

But if your original battery has a capacity of 1900mAh a custom made battery may have a capacity of 1900 ± 50mAh but certainly not 2500mAh, without being larger.

....

I think you mean lower tolerance ie they require more accuracy or they ditch it :)

can you share what tool do you use ? is it a multimeter? I would like to count.

by the way the original batteryis 1500 mAh 5.6 Wh and 3.7V.

If the fake one is more than 1500mAh 5.6 Wh I will be very happy :)

OMG, dejavu it's like my Desire days. AVOID E-CELL LIKE THE PLAGUE! They screw their customers randomly to avoid constant negative feedback, this is for casings and other phone accessories.

All their batteries are fake, I'm surprised nobody hasn't sued them yet in the UK. Tear off that cheap golden wrapper and you can probably see the real capacity and most are made in china and not Japan like they claim. It's like they're repackaging those Chinese $2 batteries and label it high capacity.

ALWAYS ALWAYS AVOID E-CELL.

Probably they have learn their lesson, the new batch of batteries only have the golden sticker ontop, no sticker below (just blank battery). Measured this battery using app 'battery monitor widget pro' with full charge then drain and recharge. Seem like not all battery is build the same, I have 2 (1st one i tested and confirm NO way better than stock, and lodge a complain & they sent a second battery). Did the same to measure and 2nd one comes around 2000mAH.

For me, its like extra battery (don't expect good stuff comes cheaply, if you want a battery that last get mugen, got that and it DOES LAST, only complain is the SIZE of that back cover..... its bulky)

My biggest concern with going with dodgy batteries, is that if the circuitry to prevent it over-charging isn't great, then they can overheat, and ultimately catch fire. Sure that sounds fairly dramatic, but even batteries from respectable manufacturers do this from time to time. Not something I want to chance!

2430MAH FL-53HN GOLD BATTERY is s***!

don't buy it.

It keeps up for 6 hours tops only after 15 charges !

I have filed a complaint with Ebay since the seller said to send it back and it costs as much as the battery itself !
