Corrupt battery animation FIX

If you have the same problem as in the video below, a corrupted battery recharging animation while the phone is off. You probably corrupted your splash partition. Flashing back to the original ZTE stock splash screen most likely fix this. I took this out off a ZTE stock rom "GB_CURETAIL_P743V1.0.0B10.zip" and added it into a flashable zip file.

FIX LINK: ZTE_SKATE_STOCK_SPLASH

Boot into recovery and choose "install zip from sdcard" and navigate to the the file, choose "Yes".

note: On my phone it was caused by the splash you see in the video. Flashing the ZTE stock splash allso works for the MEDION P4310

Ive noticed if you make splash screens from images, and turn them into .bmp files you wont have a problem. But if you use the blade tool, or make .img files they remove the battery animation. There is a tutorial below with Kallt_Kaffee's methode. I never had any problems flashing splash screens this way.

Here are some splash screens/bootanimations i converted: LINK

From my expirience, you better flash bmp files with this methode.

1) Download This file: Bootanimation/splash image flash

2) Unzip the file. Swap ONLY the bootanimation and Splash image files. The other files are required for flashing.

NOTE: Dis-including a file will retain your previous splash image or bootanimation

Other methods may work but this worked for me:

In GIMP I open my 480x800 image. (as desired in terms or rotation, etc - how i want it to look on the phone)

Then go Image>transform>flip horrizontally

Now hit save as save it as splash.bmp

In advanced choose the "16bit R5 G6 B5" format

Now replace this file with the one in the unzipped directory.

3) Re-zip the file, and place it on your phones SD card.

4) Boot into recovery and choose install zip from sdcard and navigate to the the file, choose Yes.

5) Reboot your phone, and you should see changed booanimation and/or splash image.

well your a tryer .i can only suggest you tpt the skate one as other people have tried it and managed to get it working.looks as if your partitions where the splash is corrupt so this might help you.

Tpt is only risky if the files are corrupt(to my knowledge)

However,I have done many tpt on my blade and skate.

Just download, check the md5(very important part)

Now extract the zip to the root of your sd card, which will leave you with a folder called image. One last thing I always do is to open that image folder and scan it with my eye to see if any of the files look wrong, for example,a 0 as file size.Although the md5 may match,I still like to check after unzipping.

Now power off,

Power back on,while holding volume up & menu(all at same time)

It seems you have forked your splash to me,and the easiest way to try and fix would be TPT.

I made a flashable .zip for you. Just follow the instructions in the first post.

Heya All,

interesting.. on my ZTE KIS (aka Roamer2 i believe) i too have noticed a corrupt battery charging animation while powered off.

so... that must mean the charging animation could be customized relatively easily too, any ideas how? a basic example would be fine (:

i want to try and come back to this if i work out a better place to post this, i'm a noob here, soz

I have done all that you say thinking it will make disapear the blinking of the all screen when the phone is off and is charging from ac. But it's not working for me :(. After letting the phone charging powered off a few minutes the screens becomes very wierd blinking and with stripes :(.

Boot loader included in tpt helper is not compatible with your device. I mentioned it in the tpt helper thread some time ago but dev doesn't seem to care .

I have a special tpt I did for one guy from Uzbekistan that had the same problem and it solved it (I hex edited manually boot loader from his stock image) But it's with 150 mb system layout which is too small for running ICS or jellybean.

IMHO, I would just live with it :) mine does the same after i had to change my screen. for the amount of time the animation runs for, its not worth the faffing to make it work.

but that is my opinion :)

You are all right.First because after a full charge you will have to let the phone switched off only 5 min before turning it on so it wont do all those wierd stuff (stripes ,ugly colors..blinking )and 2 because almost nobody lets its phone charging switched off (that when it's shows the problem with the scree). Maybe i should live with it.Anyway do you have the link for the special TPT in case i decide to give my phone to mi girl and install it so that she wont get scared :), C3CO : )

Thanks!
