I have an LG GT540 Mobile Phone on the Orange Network

Before I upgraded to Android 2.1 via the LG APP on my PC I had Android 1.6 and was able to WIFI Tether.

I had enabled Root Permissions via the hidden menu.

Since updating to Android 2.1 I have lost Root Permissions and am unable to activate again as the option has disappeared via the hidden menu.

I have tried Z4root and Universal Androot in an attempt to fix, but so far to no avil. I believe this is because I need to enable root permissions some how?

I would be grateful for any help, so I can restore my tethering connection with my Tablet

I have the same problem I have not been able to root the phone with the 2.1 version as yet. I have looked on the net but have not found anything. I am quite new to this so if there is some one who can give any pointers it would be much appreciated.
