Current draft is online-Version 0.3 :

CM6.1 UltraFast ROM

*0.3  uploaded*

Before ROM install:

1. Wipe data/factory reset

2. Wipe dalvik Cache

* Versions of CM 6.1 could be compatible but not tested*

*Based on UK Android 2.1 partition layout*

*From version 0.2 and newer - GoKeyboard /data/data folder is added to ROM, only first time inisitalization will produce a force close message (later works normal)*


*After first ROM startup start Link2SD and batch move/link apps to sd-ext (also QQPlayer, CPU Master and Quickoffice-if not moved, it will produce force close messages)*


Basis is CM6.1 ROM  with further noted changes to Launcher, MMS/SMS, SD-EXT Support with GAPPS included (version 0.3 will separate into 2 flashable zips).

Basic installation (previous of 2.2):

Start Clockwork Recovery

1. Select "wipe data/factory reset" and "Yes -- delete all user data" (see below for an option on this one)

2. "install zip from sdcard" then "choose zip from sdcard" and select the downloaded UltraFast ROM (links with version numbers at the post beginning)

3. Select "reboot system now"

*A wipe of Dalvik Cache is recommended after any ROM install/upgrade - Nandroid backup is also recommended + format boot (sometimes)*



Post-installation settings:

As the ROM doesn't generally use SWAP (but the BOOT.IMG supports it) - please use according to your personal experience, to use (best free Partition manager - search MiniTool partition):

SD Format partition layout:

1st partition FAT32

2nd partition EXT2

                                       3rd partition Linux Swap (optional) - activated by swapper                                                                                                                  

OC App recommended - CPU Master (great profile switching - tested thoroughly on Pulse)

               * Personal best "Up threshold - 40-44 % and Powersave - 150*

Do not use Lock home in memory (CM settings)  *look at Tweaks*

Lock messaging app in memory (CM settings) - recommended

Known problems/bugs:

"Blade Wifi Fix" located on /system/app for WiFi reconnect problem

The GPS icon present in the notification area (ON or OFF after app initialisation)

The Camera app - resolved by anegin (tested MIUI Camera, Camera ZOOM FX and Camera 360 - all same crashing symptoms)

Auto rotate problem (use only 90 and 270 degrees)

I try replace boot.img from rom 2.1 oscillaton r7 and install but then network doesn't work and phone reboot. Have You any idea what could be a problem?
I'll do all wipe and everything.

Also I can't install official rom UK. Installation aborted, but with official HUNGARY there is no problem. Help me I try everything to solve that problem.

According to the information, one of options is size of BOOT.IMG (I suppose that you are flashing from CWM 2.5.0.x for Pulse, you can format Boot and cache then try once more). Your device comes from which country (mine is UK original)

Can you install other UK based ROMs without any problems? You can try with some other CM 6.1 Based BOOT.IMG (I will post it latter)

hm...Only pulse oscillation rom r7 i can install without this problem. So I copy boot from this rom but it appear the different problem. I'm from Croatia and my pulse maybe from the different market....How You create that boot.img and what is it? maybe it could make cyanomodgen based on t-moble hungary official eclair. Why i can install oscillation rom, but no FLB or CM6.1?
I use CWM 2.5.0.x

Well,  I'm also from Croatia.

Well, still using English so anyone can understand. What ROMs can you install? (Android 1.5,1.6,2.1,2.2 or 2.3)

Hungarian and UK are different by system and data partition sizes, which can be altered by editing the ROM zip.

Is the installer output always the same?

I format boot and cache and it work. I install and system up but it appear ''Sorry The application GO keyboard (proces com.jb.gokeyboard) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again''' Is this problem only on my device or? how i can fix this?

Nope... I will correct that tommorow in ROM, try deleting data for GO keyboard from "Manage applications" and then it should work correctly. *Will set level memory also (I hope...) - personally best is to set at 6,9,14,17,23,26 Mb)*

I will add links to stock BOOT.IMG and 691 Mhz OC - if no bootloop enough is a downclock to 614 or 633 Mhz.

ROM is great, but i have a problem with go keyboard. I try remove apk and install other and problem are stay. I can't install any cyanomodgen than this, because of 'old' problem with boot error.

I'm waiting for Ultrafast cm 6.1 fixed :-)

QuickPic applicationa also doesn't work. Maybe there some other aplication does not work too.

Thanks for the feedback, the problem exists with Quickpic - must wipe data from app (sometimes works), will correct in 0.3 version. Currently I finished version 0.2 with some update script modifications (format boot and some others). I hope also that Go Keyboard will also be resolved by this update. Next... low memory tweaking auto kill and gallery (quickpic)...

Interesting....

I couldn't install cyanomod until i put boot.img from your cm6.1 ultra fast....Now cm6.1 work prefect without reboot and network work fine. CPU work on 710 MHz.....

Could You explain to me private (na Hrvatskom :-)) what mean that boot.img and how you make boot and other files in custom rom?

I try new ROM...Some application stll doesn't work and i can't install any application. Seems to me that cm6.1 rb2 with your boot.img work better.

Can you write what zip file you flashed? Latest is  v 0.2 CyanMod_6.1_UltraFast_710Mhz_NO-A2SD_v02...zip

Version 0.1 was CyanMod_6.1_UltraFast_710Mhz_NO-A2SD.zip (had 2 problems with installed app).


To enable app instalation enter Settings->Applications->check Unknown sources and apply.
