[Skate Away]

I found a stand that works for the Skate.

Looking at Google images indicates that it is actually a plate stand, however it's the same size as the Skate and seems to work well.

What's more I have a couple extra if anyone would like one ?

I'm pretty sure you can work it out from the attached picture....

If you're quick you might even get it in time for xmas....

The first two people to raise their hand can have one each.

Good find,beats the cardboard ones ay.

there some good cheap ones floating about ebay too.
Is it adjustable,looking at that pic,it looks like its fixed?

I made one out of cardboard earlier today.

It was a little..erm...disappointing...

Then I remembered I had some of these things, but didn't know what they were.

Very adjustable, where the two parts meet it's a dovetail.

I think it's probably a large sliding plate stand.

It also works quite well with the upright slid to one end and rotated through 90 degrees - which is how I thought it went until I found a picture.....

my sikai gel case helps the phone lean on to things being slightly sticky on surfaces...I don't need a special stand....

Mine did as well, thanks! It is really good and I've already used it to watch some boxing I loaded onto my phone (well, half watched as the idea was to run down my battery)

I was given a pack of them, ages ago, pretty much accidentally amongst some other stuff. The other day I remembered I had them and thought I'd see if I could make a stand from some of them.

I didn't know what they were until I looked though google images, when I found out that they are large plate stands and I didn't have it assembled properly....

Anyway, I'm glad you like it - I've found it works a lot better with a rubber/silicon sleeve on the phone.

I guess your best bet would be to try ebay for a large plate stand or any shop in town that sells that sort of thing ?

I didn't initially want to recommend these for use as a Skate stand as they are quite large and might not suit everyone, however as your opinion pretty much agrees with mine, I reckon they are worth a go !!
