Newbie Vega / Tablet user

Hi

I’ve been lurking here for a few days now, just reading up on the Advent Vega. Been thinking about treating myself and getting a Tablet and as everyone knows the Vega is a cheap option.

I understand to get the best from it I’m going to need to update the ROM to 3.2 Honeycomb or similar, and although have never done anything like that before I’m more the willing to give it a go.

But I’ve got two nagging questions

Firstly I know the Vega has been out for a while? So is it ‘old hat ‘ tech? and is it once flashed as good as the Xoom?

And secondly what else can I use it for? Apart from the internet and of course play Angry Birds lol

Any help would be grateful
