Look in Fliblesan's rom thread. He made the 2nd version of his rom with the sensitivity raised so that the buttons illuminate in brighter conditions. He also discusses how it's done where another member tweaks his own TMV further.

Will probably install the rom as the keys just dont light up at all in darker conditions.
