I have been trying to flash my phone for the longest time.... I am very sorry to have to bother you, and i understand that you are very busy...( I have read numerous blogs of yours on here an other sites as well if im not mistaken. If you do have the time i am at a dead end here... I am new to flashing but am not a noob at all.  I know its not new by anymeans, and you are on to other newer phones, but ive had mine in an otter box since the day i bought it brand new, and its mint. Love the phone, love the stlyus, just want a change from the model, wanted a nice sence rom or maybe even the right lite, dont care yet just something different. I have installed the drivers, octans Full (not lite) , windows xp sp3 compatability, run as admin, but phone only comes up to a battery charging screen rather than connecting to octans. I have sat for a while trying to get some type of response from octans, but all i ever get is the battery screen and 2 lines of paremeters and commands in octans... nothing more and nothing in the top right corner i.d. window (octans)... ???? CAnt get past this point.... i have flashed other phones in teh past but that was old cingular sony erricsson's (which were extremely easier)... If you  have the time to help me out i would appreciate it.. Thanks again ,

NEVERMIND GOT IT FIGURED OUT.... IF ANYONE HAS THE SAME PROBLEM I FIXED MINE BY GETTING HE PROPER i8000 WINDOWS 7 64 BIT DRIVERS INSTALLED. WAS HAVING A HARD TIME INSTALLING THE CORRECT DRIVERS IN DEVICE MANAGER.. iF YOUR MIT DRIVERS ARE NOT FROM 2003 IT WILL NEVER WORK. .. FINALLY INSTALLED THE CORRECT DRIVERS (CONFIRMED IN DEVICE MAN, DRIVER DETAILS...) IT IS WORKING NOW LIKE A CHARM.
