Hi I have just setup a mate's vega with VegaComb r9 u3 and am having an issue accessing the majority of apps from the Market, namely Skype and Angry Birds (those are the ones i tried and were missing)

I have read that it might be Google tightening things down for the Vega.

Anyone have the same setup and know how I could get a fully unlocked market?

Cheers

what does it say if you go into the web version of android market and login to his google account ? Does it claim that angry birds and skype are incompatible ?

Is the device listed under his account with vegacomb ?

Yeah, it says something like "this is not available in your devices location"

Just had a look on his market account and the Vega is listed there as Maker - Nvidia, Model - VegaComb. There is no carrier information, or last used stats, but then it is just a wifi Vega (does that make a difference?)

What does it think his location is ?

I seem to remember having some funnies with GTA III at home where it claimed it was incompatible with all my devices but then it was fine when I logged in at my parents though didn't click on the + so don't know if it was claiming location was a problem.

Might be doing something daft with identifying location via ISP provider.

Mind you I haven't checked GTA III again at home since.

no idea, how would i find that out? It couldn't be due to the ISP as we used a Galaxy S2 and a Blade on the same WiFi and had no issues!

Don't actually have the Vega with me as he took it home (it was working and we got a workaround for the apps he wanted using his ZTE Blade).
