Top-up credit wiped?

(Android Noob) I bought the OMC, online, at xmas and the credit had not been activated. I waited and later called Orange to see if they could activate/add my top up to my phone. They said I had to wait and later, unknown if my credit was added, I sent a text to a mate. I tried to see on my "Your Orange" account and the balance said £0.01. I assumed the balance was not updated on the app/website. The text was recieved but then a few days later, I installed Atomic v3.C (using Wacky's and Tillaz's guides) and I tried to make a call and Orange said I had to top up. Would the installation of the ROM have wiped my credit or is it orange's fault??

Thanks for the help.... I'll call orange tomorrow biggrin.gif

I had the same thing, bought the phone from Argos with a £10 topup and it also came with £10 extra airtime free,. I haven't used the topup card, but did get a message saying they had allocated my £10 credit and also that I was on Dolphin, no surprise a couple of days later (with no Data use as far as I can tell) I get a message saying my £10 has runout and I need to topup!!!! They did the same thing when I bought my blade. I will keep hold of the unused card until I have a specific reason to use orange, otherwise I'll stick to tmobile now that I have unlocked my phone. TBH I would just stear clear of orange.

They activated my SIM in the shop but said I should wait for a confirmation text before using. It was all working fine when I got home so I carried on regardless. I didn't realise that the "free" Dolphin internet data wasn't effective immediately and therefore my initial use took credit from my compulsory £10 top-up. Lesson learned!

I ordered mine from the orange shop online and i also had problems even activating my sim, could it be a faulty sim??

That's what happened on my blade, I dialled the no to activate Dolphin, the message said that I had selected and was on dolphin, within hours my credit was gone. the next day I got a text saying they were setting up dolphin, then eventually another saying you are now on dolphin (despite the phone message saying I had selected and was on dolphin the day before). My credit was gone, I couldn't even call them to ask why. Needless to say I decided against porting my number (the 30 quid you are supposed to get wouldn't have lasted long at that rate!), unlocked it and stuck with t-mobile.

This time I had no intention of moving to orange and it was no surprise when my 10 allowance dissappeared in no time at all despite being confirmed as being on dolphin!
