Well the day has come when my beloved Racer has DIED, i`m not surprised with the amount of testing and flashing its had .......but still i`m pissed

today i was in the process of porting/adjusting/testing new LeWa ROM for you all, just installed a final test version of the rom and then soon as it got past bootanimation the phone rebooted by itself which was very strange as  i`d just tested a beta version of rom afew minutes earlier with no problems and i had`nt changed any system files just some apps.......so i rebooted into CWM (which worked) and wiped everything and restored a backup of #224v2....the restore completed successfully and i rebooted my phone, but same thing happened again just as bootanimation finished.......so i thought maybe the partition layout needed resetting so i fastbooted my original stock recovery to gain FTM mode and that worked fine, opened zte online tool but it would not detect my phone at all, so i trolled the forum and found some helpful things in the blade forum to tpt my phone, managed to find 3uk original files from online upgrade on the net and then backed up my Channel1.nvm and proceeded to tpt my phone with correct files at hand, it worked to reflash my phone totally with stock 3uk rom and i restored my Channel1.nvm aswell but still does the same!! reboots just after bootanimation (stock rom it gets to the desktop but after afew seconds it reboots itself)......i`m guessing some part of my phone is fried........SO NO PHONE NO MORE ROMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think this day should be a national day of mourning.....

So.... are you planning a replacement, or is it early days yet??

no will be a while before i can replace it, i have lots of other things to shell out for at the moment

Update:  just checked my receipt  I bought my phone from Argos on the 20/01/11      lol 1 week before warranty runs out lol - i should get a replacement, is back to factory/stock rom/settings

with deadlink busy and afk  most time, vamshi gone for a long time , rexchun not making anymore roms i think its end of dis forum if u leave...
anyways i l always keep on checking it...kind of habit it has become Lol

excellent... thats very lucky for you......
once i bought a hp laptop from argos costing #900 and 2 days before my warranty went out the laptop went bust...lol

well lucky mate, glad you can get it replaced. would have been a real loss without you , l  bet your stomach went urrrrrrr!

Update 2: well i went to argos near me (open till 8pm) and they where very good about it, they didnt ask any questions and offered me a replacement straight away BUT their where no Racers available in-store or at any other Argos in the area (4 stores) and where`nt getting any new stock in either......so they said i could send it off for repair which would take a month which i said no as i use my phone alot and need it as you guys know   OR  i could choose a replacement upto the value i payed for it which was £81 (51 weeks ago) i got a Samsung Galaxy,  so it gives me no pleasure in saying that i wont be making/porting roms in this forum anymore    i`ll still pop in the forum and check whats happening and keep tabs on my threads.......

Am sorry to hear your loss of the Racer... if its meant to be, its meant to be that way...

who knows you may become famous within the Galaxy...

@t0mm13b  thx m8, was very interesting and learnt alot testing the Photom, your right we all have to move on with new devices at some point.........i`ll still be on Modaco floating around        great i`ve got a new phone but i`m really gutted, it was my first android device..........
