Something for everyone who has the 2X is very easy root tool an app called "Unlock Root" tool. It works on all current android builds. Just run that and hit root. Make sure you enable debugging first. I used super one click to unlock mine but "Unlock root" tool is much simpler if you just want unlock without clockwork. Just go to www.unlockroot.com to get the app.
Its free and very simple to use. :0)

This is not full root! More than a half of apps that require root doesn`t work! SuperOneClick is still the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!
