Hi All,

I'm looking for some advice on flashing my handset... Hope someone can point me in the right direction?

I have an Orange branded handset and I wish to flash the device with a generic HTC rom.


My current software build number is 2.50.61.3 and I have this rom... RUU_Ace_Gingerbread_S_HTC_WWE_2.50.405.2_Radio_12.  54.60.25_26.09.04.11_M2_release_199042_signed.exe

1) Is the RUU the same software version as my handset? (2.3.3)

2) Can I flash the handset with the RUU thus overwriting the Orange rom?

I understand the basics in the sense that my handset will be locked to Orange and a bit more is needed in order to flash the device.


Hope someone can advise...
