Hi, I got a Dell XCD 35, an Idea Blade and tried most of the roms  around. TheDell XCD 35 works perfect with cm7 and most of the roms but  in the Idea Blade the roms install and work just fine the only error  persisting and common in all is just the CANNOT CONNECT CAMERA. It is  because the new Chinese Idea Blades have a different camera driver,  which is yet to be integrated in the cm7 or different roms. I personally  haven tried the moldovian rom shall try and and post here soon. I am  desperately waiting for the camera to start working in any of these  custom roms. Pls do let me know if you have any feedback or further info  on the same. Thanks!

Hi,
Just installed the Moldovan Mile-High-Mountain-Pie RLS9 (Android 2.3.5) and applied the the kernel patches. This is the link  http://android.modaco.com/topic/347215-romgen1-2-3-moldovan-mile-high-mountain-pie-rls9-android-235/page__st__1020

I installed the rom and after installing applied the kernels. After installing the 1st kernel the cam didnt work so had to install the Swedish stock kernel and it worked like a charm. No I am truly happy and enjoying the rom. Havent come across any bugs as yet. shall post if i find anything.
Optional kernels:
-M-MHMP-RLS9-Undervolt-Kernel-Gen2.zip (thanks to wbaw and burstlam, source)
http://www.mediafire...fdieke4sgtir4n9
MD5:30082A193E6483C5473D58385E83EC90
-M-MHMP-RLS9-Swedish-Stock-Kernel-Gen2.zip (latest stock kernel with wifi driver)
http://www.mediafire...ob7we5f7e9swp6b
MD5:CEC036E5DE02EB408EBE18757B81FD82
-M-MHMP-RLS9-Malaysian-Stock-Kernel-Gen2.zip (stock kernel with wifi driver)
http://www.mediafire...5sa8w7suim1hb1j
MD5:B442394AD8864EAD01F240345B99CCA9

The steps to install the custom rom are as follows:

first of all you will have to root your phone, by installing Z4root, then download and install superuser from the market, then download and install rom manager from the market. then run rom manager and flash clockwork mod recovery and while doing this please be certain that your internet on the mobile is on. Please backup your original rom to your SD card before installing any new rom so that you can restore your original rom anytime.

I am posting a link please read the detailed instructions and only then try installing it
http://www.androidta...om-kernels.html

my email id is [email protected] if you require any assistance pls email.

Thanks !

Yes please first choose the option to factory reset then choose the cache wipe and then the dalvik cache.. i wiped all then installed the rom. You have to install the rom then go back to recovery mode and install  the add ons from zip on sd card the first kernel and then reboot ..after  that install the swedish kernel and after that reboot.  I have checked the gprs and the gps and the call recording default option too... everything seems to be working just perfect till now, hope it goes on the same way. On the earlier stock froyo rom i had only free memory of about 40Mb but in this rom i have about 90 Mb of free memory and thats why the phone is responding very well and its definitely much faster than the froyo rom.

Hope your installation goes error free. All the best ! Do keep me updated.

Thanks!

ok i got the link for that .it was in the first page the link u gave was in middle so i was confused. http://www.mediafire...8rw8bc4j3qt8z4o is this one or u used vanilla one?and if i install the first two kernels then everything will work right. what is the use for the third kernel? is it same as the second one? can i do  tpt flashing to increase ram in my idea blade.see link  http://android.modac...ra-via-windows/
and one more help..i can't restore back to my original idea blade stock rom. when i saw from file manager in clockworkmod's backup folder, some file was missing. i think one of them is android.img comparing to the back up of cm7.1.0.
so can u help me out?

Yes thats the one i installed. I havent installed the 3rd kernel as i didnt feel the need to. Everything started working after installing the swedish kernel so i guess the 3rd kernel wasnt required for the Idea Blade.

Did you backup the rom properly.. i mean did it take about 10 minutes or so for you to complete backup ? You should be having a backup up file with a date on it and time on it. if ever you require to claim warranty you will first have to install the custom rom. If you ever need the idea stock rom with the idea booting logo i can share my backup rom, at least it shall serve your purpose. As far as the ram unlocking is concerned, TPT most probably will not be able to unlock the ram from 256 to 512  because these chinese idea blades seem to have a hardware ram of only 256.
hope things go smooth now.

Hello ,

Thank you for the detailed procedure you gave for the installation of the ROM. But i have a problem,
After installation of Moldovan Mile-High-Mountain-Pie RLS9, the phone ran very well, but after the reboot,
The touch screen has become un responsive. I tried a clean install after wipe but still no luck.

Luckily i had taken a nandroid of the stock rom (froyo).  I have tried the patch
http://android.modac...m/page__st__140

but still no joy.

Can you please help.

Thank you

you need to install the swedish stock kernel after installing the rom if you have idea blade. Also try posting to the official rom thread http://android.modac.../page__st__1040

Nice to hear everything is working for you, there was also report of touchdown not working on cyanogenmod so don't forget to calibrate sensor.
Between could you post about the roms you tried it will be helpful thanks.
