Is there a way to save Google Documents on my Sony Xperia so that I can view them even if I don't have internet connection?

Yes, the App Documents to Go allows you to work on Google Docs offline.   It's pretty good, and you just upload them when you're back online.
The trial version is free, but the full version costs $14.99.   Not a bad investment if you need to edit a lot of documents offline.

Thank you for the reply, but I don't need to edit documents. Just read the documents or notes that i have previously saved. At the moment I have to be online to see the documents.

A lot of people have been asking for offline access, and Google says they will add it to their Gdocs App.
In the meantime, the App above will allow you to save a Gdoc to your tablet, you don't have to edit the document.   Not sure if you can batch all your docs at once or not.
