I can get into nvflash recovery so no problem there. but no matter which Rom I instal it goes right through to the part where you have to slide to unlock but the screen does not work. But if I long press the power button the menu comes on to select reboot, switch off or whatever, but when I touch the screen this goes away without acknowledging the touch. If you have a USB mouse you can boot in host mode and calibrate it with the mouse (Hold the back button while booting to get into host mode) or use a dock if you have one. Use the mouse to run shuttle tools and calibrate the touchscreen. If after calibration it still doesn’t work your touchscreen is screwed. It may not apply to you but something I have found while experimenting with these touchscreens is that when the touchscreen is properly knackered, and the controller is not talking (technical term ;) ) to the motherboard the bootup time is much longer. When the power button is pressed the screen lights up (backlight) and about 30 seconds later the boot splash comes up. So if your Vega is taking longer than normal to boot this is a sure sign that the touchscreen is faulty. The fact that the power menu disappears when you touch the screen suggests that a touch is being detected but in the wrong place. Use a mouse to run the calibration app in vegacomb or vegaics. My touchscreen of vega was death, in the meanwhile the system was still working. What should I do now? Is there nay way to fix it?
