I was just wondered if you guys had got your hands on them and if it was possible to crack. Hopefully making this phone as easy as the blade to unlock. Plus it might help to make this phone as popular as its predecessor as progress seems a little slow compared to the blade.Plus I love this phone and bricked my first one ,but have better knowledge now so might give it ago Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Nothing but dead ends as far as generating a working key. Turns out it wasn't enough of an upgrade for many. The unlock may look daunting but if you stick to the steps in the guide all should go well. Give it a go :). I have a computer but it runs 2g vodaphone edge via a dongle. So when at work I get 3g I spend most of my time playing and updating my phone ( sorry Boss). That is why I like the blade so much as you can do everything on the phone to root,unlock,instal clockwork e.t.c without the need for a P.C and very easily.Thanks to forums like this. I also like your rom fish and chips. Was just hoping the crescent would follow suite. I can always go round my mates house to unlock it but it seems not worth it just yet as your rom for both blade and crescent is there for both phones and apart from unbranded roms there seems little going for the crescent unless I am missing something. If so please let me know The main benefits of the Crescent over the SF is the faster processor + better camera. Not enough for some perhaps but personally I don't think I'd want to leave mine in the box. True, unlocking & rooting was very easy on the SF but it's not too bad on the crescent as long as you do your homework first; make sure you've got clear instructions to hand & take your time. Of course it depends on how far away your mate lives. As frodo says, after you have clockwork recovery on you are in the same position as you are with the SF, but you have a better phone. Btw frodo's link is to a TPT which will get clockwork on your phone but it won't unlock it. Good luck if/when you give it a go Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm only guessing here but wouldn't the nandroid backup (& therefore the unlock) be specific to the device in which case I guess it wouldn't work on another phone?
