Guest Mark Dearlove
Following on from our article yesterday about the best and worst of MWC, today we have a device announced that would have certainly fallen in to the "Worst" category. Samsung have announced a 'new' device, the Galaxy Pocket that feels to me like it should have been released in 2010. Essentially the Pocket is the Galaxy Europa with a slightly faster processor, in a tweaked outer skin. I have moaned about the craze for bigger, faster, thinner devices from the like of HTC, but with the Galaxy Pocket Samsung are going in completely the opposite direction. Are Samsung turning into the Anti-HTC (with HTC slimming down their portfolio with the One series)? This isn't innovation Samsung even if JK Shin from Samsung seems to think it is! I am sure people will buy this device if it retails at a similar price to the Europa which is priced at £40 currently by Carphone Warehouse, but innovative it ain't! Rant over! Guest 3shirts
Great idea. The problem I have with mobile phones is that they are too fast and won't fit in my pocket!
