[Crayonmuncher]

Can someone help me out.

Although I have a contract with t-mobile it wasnt directly from them (from tescos) as such the phone is unbranded and unlocked to any network.

it has the following model numbers: PDA:KI4 PHONE:KI1 CSC:KH2(XEU)

And I believe the last part states that it is the uk generic model so why can I find no official update, either over the air or via kies?
Yet samsung have confirmed the uk ics update will be available for the non branded handsets today in the uk?

Could mean any time from monday-sunday so in other words, it's a bit too early to complain

Unbranded handsets should start this week, could be worse, so far only O2 has confirmed a "branded network" update and that's for around mid April

Oh no I didnt mean to complain. Just want to satisfy my curiousity, I just thought it would be available as of monday and the week commencing bit was in reference to the networks versions, not to worry.

BTW it has been confirmed that the 02 version will be out before the end of march.

O2 doing better than I thought then, not sure if any other networks have confirmed yet.
Makes no difference to me as I've been running custom ICS roms for months now, I did buy my phone from Tesco though

Apparently 3 are rolling out the update already. Blimey they were quick.

I wonder when TalkMobile (Carphonewarehouse) will release their update! I hope it's soon, although by the looks of it Samsung have made a pretty good job of keeping it looking like gingerbread.

Generally carepohone warehouse sells phones unlocked, so you should get it from Samsung directly.

Thanks. Just updated Kies to the latest version and checked. No update yet. I can wait.

anyone know when it is due to actually hit, it is Wednesday and still no update available. Has anyone actually got the update yet?

Just found this on another forum so I cant take credit for it but it may be helpful to sgs2 users who are wondering what I     am. XEU apparently shows that the handset has open eu firmware as opposed to just uk and that leads nicely into:

I am not desperate to have ICS but I hate not knowing what is going on! The Samsung announcement said ICS would be released during the week commencing 19th March. Tomorrow is the end of the week
I suggested that someone in Samsung should post this information on their website, twitter feed etc

Just updated mine via Kies to ICS - SIM free UK purchased. :-)
