yeah I've got another SD card, but I've never had a problem with this one...

Someones gunna have to explain this flashing to me...

Delete the image folder

Download option 1 in the SKATIE thread

Unzip image folder onto your SD card

take battery out

put battery back in

Make sure phone is charged

Turn on pressing volume up menu and power

Wait until the blue text screen fonishes .

It will reboot into the ROM

THIS IS ALL ON THE SKATIE THREAD!!!!!!^^^^^^^

When you get here in following "option 1" > 4) Flashing progress bar will appear - do not interrupt the process

What does it say? Does the progress bar go all the way?

Also, exactly what does it say, when you try to "install zip from sdcard" (a custom rom as you said in the first post) at recovery?

The md5sum of skatie is on the skatie thread next to the download

You don't need nandroid.md5 for skatie option 1. Only image.bin.

Nandroid.md5 is needed only for backup and restore functions in recovery.

Yeah, just on the tpt thread is says a nandroid md5 comes with the tpt. Just saying. :)

I've told him yours doesn't ,

there is no progress bar... I don't get that far.

when trying to install the skatie .zip file it says:

can't open "file name"

(bad)

Installation aborted

Although sometimes there is a different error with different ROM's.

The problem is you don't read carefully :)

1) Download ZIP and extract it into the root of SD Card. After that you will find directory "image" with one file in it "image.bin" in the root of SD Card

2) Power off your phone

3) Press simultaneously [VOL+] [Menu] and power on the phone while keeping the buttons pressed

4) Flashing progress bar will appear - do not interrupt the process

5) After flashing is finished phone reboots automatically
