Thanks guys, I'll check them out.
However there is also a similar function in Ice Cream Sandwich security settings. But its not obvious how it's enforced when needed.

thats the tracking, lock, wipe website samsung use for the built in security
so long as you have setup the samsung account you can login via there and find your phone.
