What Have You Bought For Your Acer?

I have only had my Phone a Month so have only just bought a few things for it.

This thread isn't about accessories you can get for the Acer Liquid Metal but more about the accessories you have bought for it and your opinion on them.

Today I ordered these Bluetooth Headphones/Hands Free. These are the same as the Jaybird Earphones. The only differences is these ones don't have their logo or their price tag. If you look around you will see a few companies that sell this but put their own logo on them. Like Moor.

But the ones I am getting from Amazon are the newer model. These ones have Noise Cancellation built into them.

And I have picked up the Mugen Power 1800mAh Extended Battery.

I did have a screen protector for it but it sucked. It was a little bit thick so it was a bit on the stiff side, and as the screen is curved on the Acer it never stayed down around the edges.

I did debate about picking up the ZAGG invisibleSHIELD but I heard they are a smudge magnetic. I doubt I will get another screen protector as I have a case, but if I did it will be one with fat repellent. I will have to admit that the Pixxeno Screen Protector did do a really good job at keeping smudges off the screen. Just a shame it was a poor fit for the phone. If it fitted well I would get another one just because of how well it kept the screen clean.

If you don't mind cutting a bit off the edges this would be a pretty good buy. But even doing that you will probably still catch the edges because it is pretty thick. If this fitted better and was flush with the phone I would buy it again in a heart beat.

And probably the best buy I got for the Acer MT was the Samsung 16GB Class 10 Micro SD. A must have if you use ad2sdx.

Probably the best case you can get for the Acer is the B41 Black Leather. You can get one that flips from the top but that one covers up the LEDs but the side opening one covers the vol buttons. So both cases have their drawbacks.

This Black Universal Capacitive Touchscreen Stylus works ok with are Acer but isn't great. If you find it hard to typing on the Acer keyboard like my grandparents did it does help.

I've bought many different kinds of screen protectors. The one with 2 removable labels is simply the best, this is an example:

http://www.ebay.it/i...9#ht_1448wt_952

This screen protectors is quite thick, so it's easier to apply than the others and it won't be any bubble on the display.

That battery seems really interesting, the size is the same of the official one, right?

Unfortunately the price has risen up..:(

Yeah its the same size. So you don't need to have a replacement back cover. It takes about 10 days to deliver to the EU as its from Hong Kong.

They do a 3600mAh battery but its huge and makes the phone look pretty ugly. I rather get 20% more battery life then make it look like a brick for 2.4 times more life. Plus its not all that cheap.

I've gone for:

41awtlLpIPL._SL500_AA300_.jpg

r_acer_medium1.jpg

513WfEVJ8NL._SL500_AA300_.jpg

1st is: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-MB-MSBGAEU-32GB-Class-Micro/dp/B005FY61EK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1333138637&sr=8-1

2nd is: http://www.puro.it/en/store/mobile-phone-accessories/covers/acer/liquid-metal/covers-in-silicone-per-telefoni-acer-silicon-cover-for-acer-mobiles.jsp

3rd is: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004MPNTN4/ref=oh_o03_s00_i00_details

The MicroSDHC card is great, in comparison to my 16Gb class 2(which wasn't too hard to be better)

The case is ok, I don't like it too much because it makes the phone really bulky and it's harder to press the power button. I only ever use it if there's a chance that i might drop my phone when i'm out at night, otherwise I don't use a case.

The screen protector is really good, It doesn't affect picture quality at all like some other protectors i tried which turned the screen really blurry and hard to read. But yeah this isn't grease repellent, but i'm happy with it as i can just wipe any dirt off onto my trousers or whatnot :)

i'd really like one of those puro silicon covers, but i'm not keen on paying 12e for postage for just one item, so if anyone wants to chip in. if we can get 8 together there's free postage, which would make it a round £10 including me sending it on to you in the UK

I wouldn't recommend them tbh, they're good for when you feel you need that extra protection from drops and you don't need your phone to look really good. But for normal every day usage i prefer my phone to look good and not take up so much room in my pocket

ill get some pictures later

I really like the pouch provided with the phone and don't see the need for a silicone case. I just hope that the pouch will endure the phones lifetime since i couldn't find that pouch anywhere to buy seperately.

Well I have had the Bluetooth Headphones for a few days now and I have to say for the money they are awesome. I wasn't to sure what the sound would be like as they where cheap, but they sound better then pretty much any pair of earphones I have brought before, and these ones are bluetooth where as the others where just normal ones.

The bass on them are pretty impressive, and they are very comfortable to wear. The Noise Cancellation works pretty well but not as good as the higher end model earphones that have them. It works but isn't the best.

I was pretty impressed by how fair away you can be from the phone and they still work. It says its about 10 meters and I can confirm this, but unsure why you would be this far away from the phone.

The pause/play, skip buttons don't work with all players. It does work well with Spotify. I haven't tested making calls on it but I have used that profile (HSP/HFP) on the PC and its pretty poor. So voice calls may not be all that clear with them. But the A2DP for music is very good.

hi everyone

I've bought this silicon (or tpu i think it's much harder than a silicon case) wich is quit good !

all the holes camera/ microphone... fits perfectly

http://www.amazon.fr...33831380&sr=8-1

And it comes with 2 screen protection :) !

the only thing is, i thinkf the phone get too hot with OC and this cover, i've experienced freeze and reboot in intensive use ( gps app use on road, while charging and with the OC left 1.5ghz )

otherwise i think it's worth the money and make a great alternative to the puro case !

nearly 2 month of use still good as new

@ ElHive my genuine pouch died after 6 month of use :(

The battery turned up today. Took 11 days, not bad really for something that came from Hong Kong. I will test it for a couple of weeks and I will let you lot know what its like.

I thought this was pretty cool. They sent a letter with the battery about how to look after your battery and get the most out of it.

20120412142226897.th.jpg

For anyone wondering its the same size as the default battery. There was no problems fitting. It came with 70% charge and took about 20mins to get to 90%. So at least I know that it can charge. Would of sucked if it stayed at 70% :)

I have just bought this mini portablespeaker, it is economic but indeed fantastic

414vODLSlOL._SL500_AA300_.jpg

Delivering on the promise of Sound Beyond Size, the X-Mini II Capsule Speaker is petite in size but massive in sound. Hook it up to your mobile phone, MP3 player or laptop, and impress your friends with this pocket-size boom-box. Pump out your tunes with crisp clear acoustics that will easily fill up a room and elevate the mood of everyone around you. Furthermore, the X-Mini II comes with an all new feature called the Buddy-Jack; X-Mini II owners can now come together and connect a row of X-Minis to a single music source (eg. MP3 player) to enhance the overall volume and audio clarity among a large audience. The X-Mini II is the benchmark for portable sound and is the new must-have daily accessory for all media devices.
