GPS is a pretty fantastic technology, when you think about it. That little device you can hold in your hand is communicating with satellites miles above you. It is disappointing, though, that errors can occur when manufacturers incorporate GPS into their tablets and smartphones, and it seems like Asus are the most recent to suffer from these problems.
To that end, it looks like Asus have begun letting existing owners of the Transformer Prime who registered their tablet on the ASUS VIP site that they will soon be eligible for a free GPS dongle. This will come as great news to the many users who reported on the poor lock-on speeds or lack of connection with the tablet’s GPS. While some of these problems have been called out by Asus and will be fixed in the next iterations of the products, as it stands the currently released Prime needs some help that software updates alone can’t quite fix.

The only big concern with this approach is going to be the method of connectivity. If the dongle uses the dock port on the tablet and is a flush-fit, it won't be compatible with the dock accessory. If on the other hand it protrudes from the port it's going to be vulnerable and will still prevent charging while in use.
Great News as I have just ordered one!

The other problem with these is bad WIFI connection - have they got a dongle for this too

If the dongle uses the only USB port .... do I need to buy a hub?
