Why won't iplayer work on the SF2?

I am running Fish and Chips 6 on my SF2. It is OC/UC @ 902/122 and I am using the bbc iplayer app / flash player 10.2 downloaded from this website. The setting in iplayer is on the lowest quality. All I get is the first few seconds of any program and then it cuts out back to the iplayer menu page.

Going to the iplayer website is even worse. iplayer works just fine on my pc and my wii in the same house. I have the same results wherever I go using wi-fi.

Am getting really pissed off now and am considering getting rid of my SF2 as I want to use iplayer! I cannot see that I am doing anything wrong.

Any ideas?

raverr?

Anyone?

Hmm - it used to work fine on my TMV but now I'm getting the problem described above(stock frequencies or o/c). I think the player was updated recently; don't know if that broke it................anyone else tried it lately?

Have you tried with stock CPU frequencies? (245-787)

This has never worked on my phone, just got a black screen after pressing the program I wanted to watch. Now I get the program and the option to play ,but it will not play. Will try what raverrr said. Also I did read something about iplayer stopping support for rooted devices but Now I can not find the link.

Mate, I have tried virtually every CPU frequency, and no dice....

UPDATE

(Running @ 902 MHZ)

Previously I was running the lower setting in iplayer (400 kbps) but have tried the next setting (500 kbps) and now I have been able to watch iplayer......

The only thing is it's very pixelated / 'blocky' but it's better than fork-all I suppose! Could it be that iplayer is not supporting the lower video setting any more?

Maybe it's an issue with flashplayer?

Interesting issue but posting it in 3 topics just splits feedback info from responses! N'way, having looked at all posts it seems that iPlayer will only run in medium quality (again). Reportedly changing setting to low video quality (Settings), exiting, re-opening & setting to medium quality enables it to run, even without overclocking. I found it ran OK on medium (o/c to 902MHz at the time but may not be necessary)

Had the same problem, but oddly enough with long videos only. I don't think it's a quality problem. I moved the app from sd to phone and cleared cache and it worked again. Wouldn't be surprised to see it break once more, but that fixed it for me.

About the quality, medium will pay just about smoothly with my OC of 960 a few dropped frames here and there. Low plays fine, but high is all to much for this phone to handle I think.
