Hello

What do you think. Will this phone replace OMC as "best buy" phone.
I mean: for small amount of money we got quite a good phone.

Thank you.

Price wise & spec...it should but I think its all going to come down to how easy it is/will be to customize the phone; if its as easy as the ZTE Blade was then I suspect this phone might well take the crown :)

I think it should, to me this is what the osf 2 and monte carlo should have been spec wise, what they released wasn't a good enough spec boost to warrant upgrading

at the moment, yes, the new zte devices have yet to appear.

the Motorola MotoLuxe is an equivalent device and it's £80 more expensive, for a Moto logo and a locked bootloader

what do you mean with " easy it is/will be to customize the phone"?

does customizing depends on the phone?

We've had no reports of getting into recovery, fastboot or bootloader modes yet, plus we are waiting for the first rooted device and clockworkmod recovery port

Yeah, I reckon it could definitely be the new budget king.

Can't get into fastboot / bootloader yet, I have got into recovery which won't flash unsigned zips and has ADB enabled in non-root mode only.

Maybe so, but the difference is small, and not everybody wants a walled garden called Mango. I think both phones are going to have an impact, and maybe some of the ZTE once they become available.

The vodafone store I went to this morning was down to 2 handsets - 1 after I left.
