I was checking the ZTE uk web site and noticed the specs claimed the Racer gen1 Bluetooth was version 2.0.
I am pretty sure this is wrong because Bluetooth file transfers from Racer to PC are much faster than my other phone which is certified Bluetooth 2.0.
I checked a few other web sites and they pretty much mirror the ZTE information which could be the result of blindly copying from other incorrect sources.
So I fired up a Linux box and scanned my phones with the "hcitool" Bluetooth tool:
(My Sony Ericsson k770i)
Requesting information ...
BD Address: 00:1f:e4:(removed)
Device Name: Sony k770i
LMP Version: 2.0 (0x3) LMP Subversion: 0x520
Manufacturer: ST Microelectronics (48)
(My gen1 Racer)
Requesting information ...
BD Address: d0:15:4a:(removed)
Device Name: Racer
LMP Version: 2.1 (0x4) LMP Subversion: 0xdc7
Manufacturer: Qualcomm (29)
oh look version 2.1
Has someone messed up the specifications or did the early Racers come with Bluetooth 2.0?
Also (and slightly unrelated) what CPU is shipped with the gen2 Racer ZTE don't mention this on their web site for some reason.
