Hi All,

I am asking on behalf of a friend, who has just come into owning a HTC Desire phone. And whilst I am savvy on the phone that I own (ZTE Blade) I know very little of the HTC Desire. Whilst I can, and will look up more later when home from work. Kinda need some quick answers, which I am sure members of this part of forum shall know just like that.... so wonder if you could help us answer quick questions please.

1) Is the HTC Desire Gen upgradable, such as Gen1 or Gen2 rom (such as the ZTE Blade is...?)

2) Where is the best place/link, to find all the different ROMs that are available for this device, is there more than CM7 or is there even a CM9 for it? Swedish Snow and all that???

3) How easy, or whats the best way to unlock an HTC Desire...? As I believe all HTCs are unlockable. Is this network unlock? What about Rooting??

Sorry to ask such noobish questions, only this device is new to us, compared to ZTE Blade, and kinda need answers fast, until we get back home....

HTC is becoming more and more popular with youngsters. It has launched many smart phones and they are running successfully in the market. HTC desire is the best Android phone with many advance features. I am using this phone for the last five months. Thanks for sharing related to its information here.

When I had my desire I used unrevoked to unlock, extremely easy and ran cm7 for me it was easily the best ROM out there. With cm9 available and 10 in the pipeline is the best way to bring the desire up to date.
