I have unlocked my G300 and put in my Orange simcard. But the data connection refuses to work (i.e. any 2G or 3G data connection). Even though it works perfectly on the vodafone simcard. The icon for data connection does not even appear at the top of the screen. I tried restarting and repeatedly turning on and off the "data enabled" but none of that seems to work.

One thing that I noticed it that my G300 does not have any network access point yet. Is it necessary to set one up and how would I do that?

Otherwise, what might be causing the issue? I tried putting my Orange simcard into my San Francisco and it works on that phone.

you need to setup to connect to Orange APN. Just copy what it says on your sanfran APN SETTINGS

Not to steel your thread, but i have a similar problem,

I have entered in all the APN data for Giffgaff. It will let me connect on 'EDGE' but for the life wont pick up 3G.

Im the center of the capital with great 3G signal.

There is a giffgaff apn.setup tool on the market. Try that and see does it set up the apn properly for you

paddy im sure giffgaff have an app that does all their settings automatically search market for giffgaff APN
