Thanks for this, have been using on hp touchpad ics, makes light work of the many rom updates with goomanager.app, hope you get approved/whatever. way to go. Be great to have G300 roms and updates avaliable from goomanager via twrp. Much easler for us who are not to sure what we are doing.

No this is though twrp it has a reboot bootloader option which does not work and no I have fastboot disabled anyway.

Seb do you know why this is the case I know I could use the power buttons but I got used to doing this then it just stopped working

  • 2 weeks later...

One problem I have with this recovery is if you mistakenly select a 0mb partition to backup, the backup hangs on the 0mb partition. I just made this mistake and my phone has been sitting at...

[ (0 MB) ]

... backing up / partition.

For about 10 minutes now. I'll give it a few minutes before I pull the battery and redo the backup (making sure I untick the 0mb partition (not even sure which partition it is)).

Edit: Ok, something odds seems to be going on. I pulled the battery as the backup was just hanging. I go to redo the backup and look at the partition list, the only partition listed as 0MB is the datadata partition which I believe is the internal sd. I know for a fact that the internal sd has 250mb is data on it so I have no idea why datadata is showing as 0MB.

I unticked datadata and started the backup. While watching the backup I notice that the backup does /system, then /data and then /datadata even though /datadata was not ticked for backup. I also notice that when /datadata was being backed-up it did show 250mb of data...

Edit2: Recovery logs below of backup described above.

After looking at the logs; is the 0MB partition actually /sd-ext? I guess this would be a 0MB partition as I don't currently have a second sd partition setup but if so why is it being reported as /datadata?

I've had to remove this and go back to cwm after twice having failed restores. Not sure exactly what happens but the result is a black screen and a battery pull is required. The first time it happened I thought it was a corrupt backup but then it happened again with a different backup.
