I know that the T-Mobile Vivacity phone is officially listed as quadband, but other rebrandings of the Crescent phone (Orange San Francisco II and ZTE Crescent itself) are missing the 850 band. Since I'll be using it in Colombia (GSM 850/1900) I need to know whether on the other versions the 850 band can be unlocked, or I must absolutely buy the Vivacity. Also, with respect to the amount of RAM are there any versions of this phone I should look out for? I remember the Chinese version of the ZTE Blade had only 256 MB (unlike, say, the European version which had twice as much), and I need to know whether the same is true for the Crescent. But in many parts of Colombia 850 is the primary band, so I would still have some reception problems. That, of course, would not happen with a T-Mobile Vivacity. If yes, probably could be unlocked as they both have same internals afaik. @Richard - True, 1800 present doesn't mean support for 850, but what I meant was you could atleast have one band working. PS - All known versions of Crescent are known to have 512MB RAM unlike the Blade, though displays and touchscreens could differ. What I am saying is, I would not take it as Gospel that the Vivacity is actually Quad, just cos gsmarena says it is!!! One early review here says it is Triband!!! I find it hard to get info regarding the radio bands supported on Vivacity, so unsure if there is an unlock method for a non-existent band on OSFII??? Under the battery like I posted for my SFII, that should be good enough proof to see if it's wrong info on GSM Arena or whether the SFII actually has a band locked away. My mistake on bands in LK, it's 900/1800/UMTS 2100, sorry for the above post. Everything here is very much like UK in tech aspects. 850/1900 and UMTS 900 are not present.
