Guest nearby Posted May 15, 2012 Report Share Posted May 15, 2012 (edited) Hi all I've some how managed to install a CD drive on to my phone and now I can't root or install cwm every time I plug in the phone via usb this drive opens up stopping me from using Paul's one click root or cwm. It should give options like open file to view folders etc. If so its completely normal. Root is done with the phone in bootloader mode, not with the phone powered on as per normal. Guest nearby Posted May 15, 2012 Report Share Posted May 15, 2012 Ive tried doing it volume button down power on goes into download mode but as soon as I plug USB in it make the installing USB noise and then boots up the phone. Guest mealy1 Posted May 15, 2012 Report Share Posted May 15, 2012 Ok so being a bit thick but I still think I've done something to it Its OK it is the same on mine and I dont have Debuging ticked, Its the internal 2.5gig storage that you see, When the phone is Connected to a computer it should come up with a drive letter, My internal storage is drive N and my SD card is drive M. Pretty sure I'm doing it right cause I had rooted twice before once on the voda rom to remove the bloatware and again after installing the 886 rom. Will give it another when I get home.
