Meanwhile, Google has acquired Quickoffice! Google's statement: Quickoffice has an established track record of enabling seamless interoperability with popular file formats, and we'll be working on bringing their powerful technology to our Apps product suite. Quickoffice's statement: By combining the magic of Google’s intuitive solutions with Quickoffice’s powerful products, our shared vision for anytime, anywhere productivity can only grow. It will be interesting to see if Quickoffice is integrated into the next version of the Android platform and also whether the application will transition from it's current paid model to free (as seems to be the case with most Google acquisitions).
