I Found the following on the net to remove phone app from tablet, to increase battery life., which i did.......
open your file manager and navigate to /data/data folder, then find a folder called com.android.phone
Delete it
back out to / and then navigate to /system/app
make sure the folder is mounted as read/write.
find a file called Phone.apk Delete it also!
reboot.
Whether it has made battery last longer is not known yet, but when I go to " about tablet" and then press "status of battery network and other info"
I get either, 1) settings has stopped working or 2) unfortunately the process com.andriod.phone has stopped.
Question:- is there anyway of putting these items back without re-installing the entire firmware? cheers
