I appreciate what your doing and I can't and I wont tell you to stop posting. Its not my site and I don't pretend to be a moderator.
People reading will now know there is a possible risk. If they flash, they flash at their own risk knowing the potentials.
How many people would have heard of it or been aware of the risks before this discussion? Probably not many. Your aware of the specifics because I told you what to look for.You wouldn't have found it as you can't read the logs.I wouldn't have been aware only due to previous issues in the blade forum.
I'm sharing knowledge others shared with me. People will still install regardless but that's their choice.

If you want, install dx toolbox free on android market and look at your logs and see what you find.

Ok. Thanks for warning about this, had no idea about how potentially dangerous can a ROM be...I'll try Dx toolbox right away and try to test a lot new roms before posting. Thanks again.

I messaged you yesterday what to look for. Mobiclickagent.
Its a good idea to periodically scroll through a log. You get used to what's running so when something different is running, it really stands out and catches your attention.

I worded the bit about dx toolbox wrong. That app sends data itself. I sent it so you could see instances of mobiclickagent running so you would know what to look for.

Is there not a logcat app that has a search feature ? would be very useful for mobiclickagent.I will take a look anyway.

edit:I am sure I see a search filter on alogcat and I just looked at logcat extreme on market which says it has search filter.

logcat has a search function and it can find it, tested and working. Good idea Jiko.

When I execute catlog for example I only get a white screen. No activity of any kind is shown on screen. What am I doing wrong?

Logging is not enabled.First enter this *#*#2846579#*#* into dialer and in the secret menu enable logging.

If still not work go to sytem/bin and change permissions of logcat to same as this image: http://www.modaco.co...attach_id=81332
(thankyou tillaz for showing how to do this)

You will need to reboot after making the changes.
