Several apps will let you "freeze" other apps, e.g. manufacturer or operator bloatware. For example, Titanium Backup Pro, ROM Toolbox Pro. I have a couple of questions:

• Can anyone recommend a free app that will reliably freeze/defrost apps, if I was too cheap to pay for one of the above?
  
  
• Do all apps do the freezing/defrosting in the same way? That is, if I freeze with one app, can I defrost with another app, or will I be "locked in"?
