Guest marky188 Posted June 26, 2012 Report Share Posted June 26, 2012 Has anyone else noticed this, I purchased my G300 a week after release but bought my wife one 3 weeks ago, the screen difference between the two is astonishing. Mine has bright rich colors and on a par to my sons Galaxy s2. My wife's is dull the whites have a yellow look to them and the blacks are nowhere near as black and before someone asks they are both on maximum brightness. I had it replaced at the Vodafone shop but it is still the same, when I questioned the rep at Vodafone he said I must of got lucky and that the only way this could of happened is that Huawei had changed the screens possibly for cost reasons,do you think this is possible?, it doesn't make sense or did Huawei launch the handset with better screens for good reviews and slipped these cheaper ones in hoping no one would notice Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest Posted June 26, 2012 Report Share Posted June 26, 2012 Yeah it is the same with most devices I think,well budget ones anyway.I had three blades(or was it four cannot remember now)and they all had different quality screens.As you described,the colors and blacks where different between devices,one of the blades was more a dark grey when another had black. Guest runlevel5 Posted June 26, 2012 Report Share Posted June 26, 2012 Only gripe with my screen is that under certain conditions I can see what appears to be very tiny dots that are spaced evenly like an artefact of the touchscreen matrix. It truly is hardly noticeable. Colours are bright,whites are white and blacks are black.Disappointing for you though knowing one is better than the other supposedly identical device. I occasionally can see my homescreens widgets still on screen when i go into another app, it's kinda like burn-in you used to get on old CRTs. Anyone else get this? It would be interesting to know if the screen is misaligned on one of your G300s and not on the other, as it may be that the two things are related. Hello, Today I detected those dots while surfing on the web ( white background ) ... Are they normal ? Guest fr0do Posted July 1, 2012 Report Share Posted July 1, 2012 (edited) Capacitive screens are constructed with tiny wire inserted in a grid pattern into the glass/ plastic to detect completion of a circuit to map your finger position.
