hello everyone........
this is my last thread on this forum as i have lost my racer.................
many people on this forum ask me about "how to make roms or modify them"
that's why
i am giving some tutorials about modifing your rom.....

tutorials are easy and can be understand by  noobs...
first of all  ,

how to change icon of each app............

1.)  first of all extract the whole app using  winrar or 7z (for windows )  & using root explorer (for android)
2.)  when you go to the system apps folder in root explorer......   you have to long click the app you want to extract... then a popup window opens.... and then choose---extract all......

3.) now go to extracted folder, then open it, then open" res " folder.. here usually goto  drawable-hdpi
or drawable-mdip.

4.) now search these files......   ic_launcher_appname.png ( where appname= mms ,phone,music,etc. ) or icon.png
5.) now download your fav. icon you want to use for your app and paste it ro these folder and rename it to default name i.e. ( ic_launcher_appname.png  where appname= mms ,phone,music,etc. or icon.png
6.) now zip this folder with long press on folder >zip it>root permission granted.......

7.) now goto zip folder and rename your app from zip extention to apk extention..........
8.) as we are not signing the apk with zipalign tool therefore this apk will only work when you make it a system app.....
9.) copy apk and paste it in sytem>apps> and edit permissions to 644
 per 1.jpg   131.58K   14 downloads
10.) now reboot.......
11.) check out your app icon is replaced.................

how to change framework-res.apk

this is very simple way you can costomise you status bar , lockscreen icons , status bar icons,some other framework modifications.................
just go to the website link given here......
follow instructions carefully and your modifications will be ready within few hours........
very easy .... just remember read everything as wrong selection can damage your cooked files....

OOPS Sorry, posted in wrong board...

Heya All,

interesting..  on my ZTE KIS (aka Roamer2 i believe) i too have noticed a corrupt battery charging animation while powered off.

so... that must mean the charging animation could be customized relatively easily too, any ideas how? a basic example would be fine (:

i want to try and come back to this if i work out a better place to post this, i'm a noob, soz
